Hanlon Corporate Advisory Ltd (HCA) was established in 2016 by Nic Hanlon, following a long and successful career in Structured Finance for a major International bank. Nic has completed over 100 complex, event-driven transactions such as MBO's, MBI's, Acquisitions, Venture Capital and Growth Capital funding, giving him an excellent insight into businesses across a wide spectrum of sectors.  Nic led a banking team, that won both the Insider West Midlands SME Deal of the Year 2016 and also Insider East Midlands SME Deal of the Year 2017 and regularly speaks at banking and finance events. 


HCA's focus is to meet the increasing demand of SME and Mid-Corporate businesses who need to navigate the credit risk requirements of funders. Our insight into Credit and Investment Committees structuring and risk requirements helps our clients ensure a safe passage through the process. We also provide complete deal project management to allow our clients to focus on their core business. 


We only engage with clients where we can add value, and only following a free consultation to establish their businesses requirements. This helps us provide our clients with a clear and detailed scope of work.  All engagements are carefully project managed with regular updates against a bespoke project plan.  We work in collaboration with funders, private equity and other professional services advisors and maintain an excellent network of business partners across debt, equity, legal, accounting and tax advisory services.  


We work with all of the major 'High Street' banks as well as many of the new 'Challenger' banks and alternative debt providers. In addition, we continue to grow our network of Private Equity and Venture Funders to support fast growing businesses.


We can engage with clients at any point in their journey, right from initial growth, through to succession planning and eventual exit for shareholders. We are with our clients every step of the way through the process, as well as ongoing post-deal business support or, Non-Executive Director services, should it be required. 


Having a unique insight into funder risk assessment processes, we undertake detailed business analysis and financial risk reviews, to ensure our client's business is ready for Bank Credit or Investor Committees. We find our approach has an excellent success rate for obtaining offers of finance and eventual deal completion. We do this by ensuring at the outset funding proposals are suitably structured against the backdrop of the transaction and business risks.
